A Jaipur court on Friday sentenced the four convicts in the Jaipur serial blasts case to death by hanging.
The four convicts Sarvar Aazmi, Mohammad Saif, Saifur Rahman and Salman had been convicted by a special court on Wednesday for criminal conspiracy and other relevant laws for committing acts of terror. The fifth accused, Shahbaz Hussain was acquitted for lack of evidence.
Serial blasts on May 13, 2008 had killed more than 80 people and injured 176 people. Eight bomb blasts had ripped apart the city.

The first bomb went off at Manak Chowk followed by Chandpole Hanuman Temple, Sanganeri gate Hanuman Temple, Johri Bazar, Badi Chaupar, Choti Chaupar, Tripolia, Sargasuli areas of the city.
Out of the four accused, Mohammad Saif was convicted for triggering the bomb near the Manak Chowk police station, Mohammad Sarvar Aazmi was convicted for planting the bomb in the Chandpole Hanuman temple, Mohammad Salman in the Sanganeri Hanuman temple and Saifur Rahman in five different places.
In accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure, this sentence now has to confirmed by the Rajasthan High Court before the execution takes place and the accused have availed all legal remedies.
