Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and the current leader of opposition Devendra Fadnavis, held a press conference in Nagpur on Sunday and accused the Uddhav Thackeray led Maha Vikas Aghadi government stalling various projects started by the previous government.
This comes ahead of the winter session of the State legislature in Nagpur.
Amongst the various points discussed, he criticized the government for stalling various projects started by his government previously, despite the fact that the Shiv Sena was part of the alliance. He said that: “Earlier, Shiv Sena was with us and all the decisions were taken together. Now, the same Shiv Sena is opposing all those decisions and stopping work.”

He warned that with such an attitude, no investment will come to the state. In this regard, he said: “This government is stopping all the work and taking reviews. No investment will come under this government. This government is starting something and later pulling away from it. How will any work get done under this government?” he added.
He also said that no relief for the farmers have been announced yet. He dubbed the upcoming winter session as a ‘farce’.
On the issue of Rahul Gandhi’s comments on VD Savarkar, he asked for an immediate apology and also questioned the silence of Shiv Sena on this matter and said that: “Rahul Gandhi has given a statement on Veer Savarkar. Rahul Gandhi does not know anything about Veer Savarkar. He must apologize for his statement. Shiv Sena leaders love Veer Savarkar but what are they doing now?” he asked.
This came after Rahul Gandhi refused to apologize for his ‘rape in India’ remark and added that he wasn’t ‘Rahul Savarkar’.
