A major train mishap was averted at Koduru Railway Station in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday, with the loco pilot of Tirupati-Shirdi express stopping the train in time observing one of the wheels of general compartment got derailed.
The weekly train left Tirupati station at 8.33 am. It reaches Railway Koduru at 9.38 am where the general coach next to engine has derailed. Engine driver noticed this immediately and stopped the train averting major mishap.

According to railway sources no one was injured in the incident. Railway authorities have been attending rescue operation.
