The series of horror related to violence against the female section of the society doesn’t cease to create a new shocker each day.
in a recent, Rajasthan police have arrested one person in connection which the alleged brutal rape and murder of a six-year-old girl in Rajasthan’s Tonk district.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Vipin Sharma, confirmed the arrest if the accused, identified as 38-year-old Mahendra alias Dholiya, by Tonk district’s Aligarh police.
The accused, Mahendra, allegedly perpetrated the crime under the influence of alcohol. He is currently being interrogated by the police.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed anguish over the incident and said that the accused would not be spared.
According to reports, the girl had gone to school on Saturday and did not return till late. Her family members started looking for her and found the body at an isolated place in Kheldi village of Aligarh town, police said.
Prima facie, the girl was raped and strangulated to death. The body has been shifted to the district hospital for postmortem, SHO of Aligarh Police Station, Ram Krishan, said. He said efforts are on to identify and arrest the accused.
As per further reports, the six-year-old minor girl had been strangulated to death using her own belt, which was a part of her school uniform.
The girl was staying with her paternal grandmother and her parents had gone to Sheopur in Madhya Pradesh for work.
The girl’s body was taken to the Saadat Hospital in Tonk district. The post mortem report has confirmed that the girl had been raped.
“The girl had been raped and she was killed by strangulating her throat. We have found important clues. We will soon disclose the matter.”, Adarsh Sidhu, District Superintendent of Police, Tonk, mentioned in reports.
This comes after the rape and murder of a 26-year-old doctor in Telangana shook the entire nation, and an attempted rape of a 4-year-old minor in Maharashtra.
