Thousands of Gurugram residents demanding their right to clean air gathered at Leisure Valley in Sector 29, Gurugram on November 17th. Kids came out in large numbers with banners demanding action.

The residents planned to come together as the air quality in the city remained in the severe category throughout the week.

Different communities of Gurgaon, right from corporates to doctors, school kids, autorickshaw drivers, street vendors and guards came together to raise their voice against the pollution menace.
Doctors from Max Gurgaon and Fortis also came and expressed concern about the extreme health implications of bad air.
NGOs and civic society groups like Citizens for Clean Air, I Am Gurgaon, Let’s Walk Gurgaon, Gurgaon Moms along with corporates including Nagarro and Make My Trip among others participated in the campaign.
Students from several schools like Shriram School, Shiv Nadar and Ryan International School also joined the protest.
Students and adults campaigning for the Aravalli Bachao citizens campaign spoke about the need to protect our Aravalli forests as they are our green lungs and our shield against dust storms coming from the Thar desert.
