PM Modi once clicked with Chhota Rajan? Here’s the truth behind this viral picture

Date:

An old picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is doing rounds on social media and in the background, a man can be seen who is claimed to be underworld don Chota Rajan.

The caption of the picture in Hindi read: “मोदी जी ने दरियादिली दिखाई
अपने पुराने गरीब दोस्त छोटा राजन के भाई को विधान सभा की टिकट दी
कृष्ण और सुदामा की दोस्ती अमर रहे”

ALSO READ: No, people in this video are not farmers and businessmen protesting…

FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile fact-checked the above picture, we found it to be FAKE.

On putting the picture through Reverse Image Search, we came across an article by ToI which had used the original picture in which the man in the background was NOT Chhota Rajan but an old man.

In the above FAKE vs REAL collage, it is clear that the face of the elderly man in the background has been replaced by Chhota Rajan’s face using photoshop software.
