Companies and other establishments around the National Capital Region of Delhi are sounding out security alerts to various stake holders owing to the heightened security condition in the Capital.
It had been reported earlier that according to intelligence inputs, four heavily armed terrorists belonging to the Jaish E Mohammad group have infiltrated across from Pakistan and have reached the capital city ahead of the festive period.
Security has been tightened in Delhi following the intelligence inputs. Multiple raids are being conducted across Delhi and alert was sounded and security tightened in and around Delhi. In the past weeks, security agencies have received several inputs about possible terror attacks in protest against the Centre’s amendment of Article 370 of the Indian Constitution conferring special status on the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has also intensified patrolling and picketing in several areas across the national capital as the city gears up for Durga Puja and Ramlila to ensure safety and security of people, especially women.
Most companies are still holding on to the existing Medium security risk assessment even as a red alert had been sounded by the Delhi Police and the Special Branch is carrying out searches and surveillance across various hotels, public establishments and other places. Also the CISF has put the Indira Gandhi International Airport on high alert. Normally the capital is on high alert during various festivals.
In a message to their employees the companies have highlighted the security situation and have also prescribed a list of Do’s and Don’t’s which include being on a state of alert, avoiding public places especially places of worship, government buildings, hotels, shopping malls among other places, cooperating with the authorities, not touching abandoned bags and other products and planning ahead in their schedules.
