Haryana polls: BJP releases its first list; Babita, Yogeshwar get tickets

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday released its first list of candidates for the upcoming Haryana Assembly polls.

In the list of 78 candidates, state Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will contest from Karnal. While wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt and ex-hockey captain Sandeep Singh, who recently joined the party, will contest from Baroda and Pehowa, respectively.

Another wrestler Babita Phogat will also contest from Dadri assembly seat. The polls in the 90-member Assembly are scheduled to be held on October 21. The counting will take on October 24.
