In the monthly radio show “Mann ki Baat”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged citizens to share happiness with deprived people, celebrate women empowerment and travel across the country during this festive season.
This was the fourth edition of the show since Modi was re-elected in May.

- He also talks about young Ripudaman’s cleaning drive. Ripudaman is making Plogging popular across India. He is working on ‘run and clean-up movement’ across the country.
- Sporty ministry to organise 2-km-long Plogging exercise on October 2.

- PM made a case for a fit and healthy India.
- PM Modi highlights the ill-effects of e-cigarette and urges people, especially youth, to avoid it.
- PM Modi talks about a speech at the US Open tennis tournament that left him very impressed. PM said the speech by 23-year-old Denil Medvedev personifies the spirit of sportsmanship. He asked people to win hearts through sportsmanship.
- Modi asked citizens to welcome the goddess Laxmi on Diwali in a novel way. PM asks people to celebrate Diwali with a celebration of skills and strengths of Nari Shakti. PM asks people to launch a mission #BharatKiLakshmi.
- Prime Minister cites a letter by a student from Arunachal Pradesh on exam warriors. He had asked PM to write more content relating to parents and teachers in the second edition of examwarriors book.
