Don’t believe this FAKE picture of this man holing a banner; here’s the fact check

Date:

A picture is making rounds on social media in which a man can be seen holding a poster.

(Translation: Petrol was expensive for us even then, but it is a matter of satisfaction that earlier the tax money used to go in the scam, but now that money is being used for development and curbing terrorism.”)

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above picture and found it to be false.

On putting the picture through a Simple Reverse Image Search, we came across the original picture which has different text on the poster. Moreover, the face of the person holding the banner is also different.

In the original picture, the text read: “टूथपेस्ट में नमक हो या न हो खून में देश का नाम होना ज़रूरी है”

In the above FAKE vs REAL collage it is clear that the real picture has been manipulated using photoshop software to create the viral picture. Also, the man behind the person holding the banner is also spotted in the original picture.
