No! The govt hasn’t announced holiday after Jaitley’s demise

Following the demise of Former Union Minister and BJP leader Arun Jaitley, a message attributed to the govt of India has been making rounds on WhatsApp according to which the Govt has issued a notice stating that all offices, schools, and other institutions shall remain closed on August 26th as mark of respect for Arun Jaitley.

The viral message read: The Govt. of India announces all offices, schools, and other institutions shall remain closed on 26/08/19, as mark of respect for our dear departed Shri. Arun Jaitley (Hon. Member of Parliament & former Finance Minister)”
