Stargazers worldwide will witness a partial lunar eclipse on July 16 and July 17, with people in India getting to watch the celestial event on July 17.
The partial lunar eclipse is coinciding with Guru Purnima after 149 years; it is also coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission.

The Penumbral lunar eclipse will begin at 12:13 am on July 17and the Partial Eclipse will occur at 1:31 am. The maximum eclipse will take place at 3 am. The partial lunar eclipse will end at 4:29 am. The Penumbral eclipse will end at 5:47 am. The Auspicious time of Guru Purnima will start at 1:30 am and will be concluded at 4:00 pm on July 16.
The upcoming lunar eclipse will be the last one to happen in 2019 and it will be visible in the majority of Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and South America.

Last time when Guru Purnima and Lunar Eclipse were together, on July 12, 1870.
