They’re some of the most popular social media apps in the world, but it seems that Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp have all crashed on Wednesday evening.
According to DownDetector, the reason for the outage remains unclear, although 82% of those who reported problems with Instagram said the issue was with the News Feed, 11% with the website, and 6% with log-in.
Meanwhile over on Facebook, the main problem seems to lie in displaying photos, with many users seeing code in place of pictures.
Facebook, which owns the three sites, is yet to comment on the issue.
Many users have taken to Twitter to vent their frustrations at the outage.
One user wrote: “Oh yay. Instagram is down so my post is just floating in obscurity until it’s fixed.”
