A post is being shared on social media claiming that in Ghana couples need to dress like your wedding day to get divorced.

When NewsMobile fact-checked the post, we found it to be fake.

We found the original article that was published on a website ‘There is news‘ on December 9, 2018, titled “In Ghana you must to dress like your wedding day to get divorced.”

The tag line on the site reads, ‘not real, but so funny’.


On exploring the website more, we also found a disclaimer noting that its content is fiction

On putting the image through the various reverse image search tool, we found the original image on Alamy Stock Photo. It was taken in January 2009.

In the original picture, nothing is written on the wall behind the couple.

The above information proves that the post is fake.
