India vs West Indies: Kohli 37-runs away from setting a ‘virat’ record

Date:

As India is all set for the World Cup encounter with West Indies in Manchester on Thursday, skipper Virat Kohli is eyeing for another milestone in his cricketing career as he is just 37 runs away from adding another world record.

After becoming the fastest to score 11,000 ODI runs in this World Cup, Kohli is set to become the fastest to score 20,000 international runs.

All eyes will on Kolhi on Thursday, who has 19,963 international runs, and if he gets the remaining 37 runs against West Indies then he will be the 12th batsman to reach this landmark and the third Indian after Sachin Tendulkar (34,357 runs) and Rahul Dravid (24,208 runs).

The third on the list is former Australia World Cup-winning captain Ricky Ponting, who had taken 468 innings to reach the landmark.
