PM Modi, Hamid Ansari congratulates newly elected Kazakhstan president

Former Vice-President, Mohammad Hamid Ansari, congratulated Kazakhstan on the newly elected president Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India Bulat Sarsenbayev met with the former Vice-President of when Ansari conveyed a greeting telegram to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

“I am confident that you would do justice to the trust reposed in you by the people of Kazakhstan and under your leadership your nation will continue on its path of progress and contribute to world peace”, says Ansari’s message.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of cooperation between the two countries. The Kazakh diplomat also presented a book titled “Kazakhstan-India Relations: 25 years of Successful Partnership” published by the Embassy of Kazakhstan.

Prime-minister of India Narendra Modi also congratulated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on his victory in the presidential elections in Kazakhstan.

“India and Kazakhstan enjoy a multifaceted relationship going back several centuries. The rapid development of our bilateral cooperation has transformed this historical relationship into a strategic partnership. I look forward to work with you, Excellency, to further strengthen and diversify India-Kazakhstan strategic partnership for the mutual benefit of our two countries and peoples”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
