PV Rama Shastri on Monday took charge as the new Additional Director General of Police (ADG), Law and Order of Uttar Pradesh.
Yogi govt is handling deteriorating law and order and has transferred several senior IPS officers on Friday (June 14th) taking the crucial decision. By taking a big decision, the govt has removed the ADG Law and Order Anand Kumar and IPS PV Rama Shastri has been appointed as the new ADG Law and Order.
PV Rama Shastri is originally from Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, an IPS officer of 1989 batch. He took over the responsibility of inter agency training for the CBI Director’s position for years.
Ram Shastri understands international laws too closely. In the year 2006, he has also been honored with the Police Department’s highest honor Police Service Medal. He has served as an IG in the Indian Government’s NIA. PV Rama Shastri was earlier appointed joint secretary, consumer affairs in the Indian government.
Apart from this, ADG Prison Chandra Prakash has been made ADG Rules and Manuals. Brijbhushan has been appointed as ADG Zone Varanasi. At the same time, Deepesh Junja has been removed from the police recruitment board to make ADG security. Vijay Kumar has been given the responsibility of the ADG Police Recruitment Board.
