Fact Checked: This picture of RaGa swearing in is fake

Date:

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s swearing-in, a picture surfaced on the internet in which Congress President Rahul Gandhi can be seen taking the oath with Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala.

The caption of the picture read: “सभी मंत्री शपथ लेकर घर चले गए बाद में राहुल गांधी ने भी ले ली प्रधानमंत्री की शपथ 😁😬😂

(Translation- Rahul Gandhi took an oath was the Prime Minister after all the ministers went home after taking oath)

ALSO READ: No, the man in the picture is not Yogi Adityanath’s brother

FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found that it was a morphed picture.

On putting the picture through Reverse Image Search, we found the original picture that has Prime Minister Modi and Prez Ramnath Kovind.

The picture was tweeted by the verified Twitter handle of Press Information Bureau (PIB).

In the above FAKE vs REAL collage, it is clear that PM Modi’s face was replaced by Rahul Gandhi’s face through Photoshop software.

Hence, this proves that the viral picture is morphed.
