Election 2019 Phase 7 battle: Here’s all you need to know

In the seventh and the last phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, voting is set to take place in 59 constituencies across seven states and one Union Territory on May 19.

Over 10 crore voters will decide the fate of 912 candidates in this phase. Out of 59 seats, BJP has a hold on 30 seats. Varanasi Lok Sabha seat is the key seat in this phase as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seeking re-election from the temple city.

The Election Commission has ordered re-polling at a polling station in Haryana’s Faridabad parliamentary seat on May 19 after a polling agent was arrested for allegedly trying to influence voters at a booth.

All parliamentary constituencies in Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and some Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal will vote on the same day. Counting of votes will take place on May 23.
