Recently, Akshay found himself in a controversy on social media as the issue was that he wasn’t seen voting even though his wife Twinkle Khanna was present at the polling booth.

It became the content for memes and also some even questioned his Canadian citizenship.

Amidst all the drama, a post is being shared on social media claiming that Akshay Kumar has made a statement- “मैं भारत का नागरिक नहीं हु, मैं भारत में सिर्फ पैसे कमाने आता हु | मेरा असली देश कनाडा है |”

(Translation- I am not a citizen of India, I come to India just to earn money. My real country is Canada)
