Abhishek Verma bags gold at ISSF WC, secures India’s Olympic quota

Indian shooter Abhishek Verma won gold medal in 10m Air Pistol event at the ISSF Shooting World Cup in Beijing on Saturday, 27 April. Verma finished the first by making 242.7 points in the final.

With the Saturday’s victory, Verma secured another quota for India in shooting at 2020 Tokyo Olympic.

Earlier on 26 April, 17-year-old teenager Divyansh Singh Panwar secured the country’s fourth Olympic quota place in shooting by winning a silver in the ISSF World Cup.

On Thursday, India opened its medal account with young shooters Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary clinging gold in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event.
