Rahul Gandhi did not wave BJP’s flag; here’s the fact check

Date:

A picture is making rounds on social media in which Congress President Rahul Gandhi can be seen waving a BJP flag.

The caption of the picture read: “भाजपा के स्टार प्रचारक”

The post could be seen across the internet on different social media platforms.

FACT CHECK

Team of fact-checkers at NewsMobile checked the viral picture and found that the photo is FAKE.

On putting the image through Reverse Image Search, we found the original picture which was clicked by newswire PTI, in which Rahul is waving the flag of Indian National Congress.
The photo was taken on September 15, 2016 in Allahabad(now Prayagraj). Rahul Gandhi, who was the vice president of the Congress back then, was at a road show during his Kisan Yatra.
In the above picture, Rahul can be seen raising the Congress flag.
In the above FAKE vs real collage, it’s very clear that BJP flag is superimposed using photoshop software.
