Days after stepping down as the chief of the Rashtriya Janata Dal’s student wing, Tej Pratap Yadav and the elder son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav launched his own political outfit – Lalu Rabri Morcha. He would also field his own candidates from Bihar in the run-up to the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
The ongoing rift within the RJD seems to be widening as Pratap has continued his demand of two Lok Sabha seats of Sheohar and Jehanabad for his preferred candidates.
Expressing his displeasure at the party, Tej Pratap on Saturday (March 30) last week had announced that he would be backing Angesh Kumar for Sheohar and Chandraprakash for Jehanabad Lok Sabha seats if the party did not accommodate his choice of candidates.

Miffed with the party, Pratap also said that he would support Chandraprakash as an independent candidate if the party did not replace RJD’s official candidate, Surendra Yadav. As of now the candidate for Sheohar seat is yet to be announced by the party.
Launching his party in Patna, Tej Pratap said that he would urge his mother Rabri Devi to contest from their traditional seat of Saran.
