Indian Railways has received backlash when passengers in the New Delhi Kathgodam Shatabdi Express were reportedly served tea in a cup with PM Modi’s slogan ‘Main Bhi Chowkidar’ printed on it.
The photos of the cups went viral on social media and the Railways immediately withdrew the cups and penalized the contractor.
A colleague shares how #MainBhiChowkidar branding is being used on train….

People shared the picture of the cup on social media and claimed it is a violation of Model Code of Conduct ahead of the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections.

Looking at the gravity of the matter, IRCTC North Zone apologised and immediately asked . for the passenger to take necessary action in the matter.
This issue comes days after the Railways was found in violation of the poll code for issuing tickets with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pictures on them. Later, the railways said that it was an “unintentional and inadvertent mistake”.
