Notebook Trailer: A poignant old-school love story set in Kashmir looks promising

Salman Khan’s next production, Notebook’s trailer is out. Nutan’s granddaughter Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal are ready to debut with this film set in the beautiful valley of Kashmir.

Watch the trailer here –

Directed by Nitin Kakkar, ‘Notebook’ is set against the majestic backdrop of Kashmir and narrates a story of a poignant and innocent romance that starts with handwritten exchanges just like in the good old days.  Pranutan and Zaheer’s characters both play school teachers who keep revisiting a local school in the valley.

Pranutan’s character, Firdaus teaches a handful of young kids at a school set in a remote location in Kashmir where she has grown attached to the students and struggles with leaving them behind. Soon after she leaves, Zaheer’s character reaches the school replacing her and finds her notebook and skims through it realizing they both are connected. He scribbles responses to her in the same notebook while falling for each other, but they never meet in the process. And like all romantic films, there is a catch as Firdaus is all set to marry someone else. We will have to wait and see if this story comes with a happy ending or not.
