Renegades captain Aaron Finch smashed a chair with his bat angrily after his bizarre dismissal against the Stars in the Big Bash League final at Marvel Stadium.
After being run out for a marginal 13, Finch walked off the pitch with a seeming composure which broke as soon as he walked down the tunnel and smashed a plastic chair as his side’s top order crumbled.

Finch was caught 30cm short of his crease after a Cameron White straight drive brushed the right shoe of Melbourne Stars paceman Jackson Bird on its way to crashing into the stumps at the non-strikers end.

Just as the former Test opener was beginning to hit his straps after a slow start to his innings, he had to go for 13 with his team in all sorts of trouble at 3-47 at the end of the power play.

“You’re kidding me, I reckon Aaron Finch was run out there, can you believe it?” Warne asked other members of the commentary team.
“It’s moments like that finals are won and lost,” said another caller.
“He looked in unbelievable touch it was the Aaron Finch of old today,” Warne added.
The Renegades lost three wickets inside the first three overs and ended their innings on 5/145, with Tom Cooper scoring 43 and Dan Christian 38.
As the match progressed though, the Stars collapsed from 93/1 to 132/7 and the Renegades won by 13 runs.
