New Delhi: At least 17 people lost their lives and three were left injured after a fire broke out in a hotel in Delhi’s Karol Bagh area on Tuesday morning.
According to initial reports, 26 fire tenders were rushed to the spot after the fire broke out at Hotel Arpit Palace around 4 am.
The video shot by locals shows huge flames crowning the terrace of the white five-storey building.

The fire was brought under control around 7 am.
Thirty-five people were rescued and those injured were taken to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.
Most of the deaths took place due to suffocation, the police said.
