New Delhi: A bizarre case from Telangana came into light in which the husband of a former Congress leader Uppu Hymavathi reportedly went back to voters demanding the money the couple distributed before elections.
If reports are to be believed the candidate from a ward in Telangana managed to bag only 24 votes and lost the local ward elections, following which her husband Prabhakar went to voters and demanded that the money he had distributed among voters should be returned. The bizarre incident took place in Suryapet in Telangana.

In Suryapet district’s, Jagireddygudem, in the 9th ward, TRS candidate Uppu Hymavathi lost the recently concluded election.
Uppu Hymavathi’s husband Prabhakar was taped requesting and then demanding for the money to be returned. It is leant that Rs 500-700 was distributed among the voters.
Though a local incident, this is not the first time that cash-for-votes case has come to light in Telangana.
