Do you love staying outdoors amidst nature when you travel? Imagine sleeping under the stars in the middle of dense forests! A new campsite has been created in Ooty where transparent Igloo-like glass tents are offered to the tourists.
Known as the Crest Valley, double-bed or triple-bed tents are available to come in maximum contact with nature. Can you imagine how it would be to live in a bubble made of glass. This is an experience everyone must have to live up the days and nights, and wake up to the sound of the birds and leaves under the sun.

The Igloo tents are set up with tall trees around with campfire sessions. With full security all the time, you do not need to worry about your security. Separate sleeping bags are provided for two to three people in each tent along with two tiny couches to sit and a petite bedside table. All the tents are weather and water proof.
Apart from the tents, proper restrooms are assigned which can be used by the camp-goers and, yes, the luxury of hot showers could keep you comfortable, even in winters. An added facility is bringing your pets along to the camp to stay with you.

In terms of the activities, archery, mountain trekking, hiking, safari rides, cycling, hairpin bends and up-hill rides, and waterfall trails are available upon request.
The price for two people in a transparent balloon tent is Rs. 2,500. If you are travelling to Ooty by road, the nearest city in Coimbatore which is only three hours by road. In case of travelling by train, Coimbatore and Mettupalayam are the nearest stations. For flyers, Coimbatore airport is recommended.
