New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested six officials of Sports Authority of India (SAI), including Director Sanjay Kumar Sharma during a raid on Thursday, in connection with alleged corruption in the transport department in the office.
The raids were carried following bribery allegations against some SAI officials.
“There is zero tolerance for corruption in SAI. We will support any action against corruption,” SAI Director General Neelam Kapoor was quoted by newswire ANI.

There were some complaints against some officers that they were taking a bribe for approving work, sources said. In the wake of the complaints, the SAI asked the CBI to investigate the matter.
Reportedly, CBI officials reached the SAI headquarters at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium around 5 pm and sealed the entire premises for search and questioning of the alleged staffers, sources in the SAI said.
