A five-year-old boy succumbed of injuries after being beaten up by his mother’s boyfriend over his homework on January 12. His mother and her boyfriend are in a live-in relationship in North West Delhi’s Kapashera area.
Upon interrogation, however, the accused and the victim’s mother provided the police false information about his death, according to DCP South West Devendra Arya’s quote to ANI. The accused said that the child fell while bathing in the washroom.
But the autopsy report showed multiple injuries on the child’s body and one of the head which caused the death. On investigating further, the accused finally admitted to the crime and confessed that the child’s mother was also involved in the murder.
The man told the police that he was asking the boy some questions during his homework and when he could not answer, the man got irritated and angry which resulted in him smashing the boy’s head against the wall twice. After the beating, the boy got unconscious and fell on the floor after which he was rushed to the nearby hospital.
