Dhoni’s magic once again worked like a charm in the 2nd ODI against Australia.
Virat Kohli’s 39th ODI ton and Dhoni’s 55* lead India to a last-over thriller win at the Adelaide Oval to level the three-match series 1-1, on Tuesday.
Lauding former captain MS Dhoni, winning captain and player of the Match, Virat Kohli said, “There is no doubt that he shouldn’t be a part of this team. Tonight was MS classic. He calculates the game so well. He takes the game till the end, when only he knows what’s going on in his mind, and he backs himself to hit those big shots at the end.”

Virat, who led his men in chasing the score was declared man of the match for his 104 in 112 balls.
However, it was Dhoni (55*) and Dinesh Karthik (25*) took India across the line with four balls to spare. MS Dhoni scored an unbeaten half-century and also hit the winning runs.
“Very pleased. We wanted to try and restrict them in the end. To get them (Maxi and Marsh) in two balls was outstanding for us. Those breakthroughs were crucial. That meant we were not chasing 330. Bhuvi was outstanding with the ball, he came back and brought us in the game towards the end. Backing 5 bowlers and getting job done is always a pleasing thing for a captain,” he said post-match presentation.
Acknowledging India’s play, Skipper Aaron Finch said, “When you come up like a batting side against India, you know you have to get wickets regularly, and we ran into that man Dhoni as well. Credit to India, they played well.
