RaGa fires fresh salvo against NaMo on Rafale deal

Date:

Taking the Rafale fight to social media, Rahul Gandhi launched a fresh attack on PM Modi.  On Wednesday, the Congress President in his tweet said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi faces an open book exam on the Rafale deal in Parliament on Thursday.

Rahul posted a set of three questions, asking if PM will show up or will he send a proxy in the Lok Sabha on Thursday.

“Tomorrow, the PM faces an Open Book #RafaleDeal Exam in Parliament. Here are the exam questions in advance: Q1. Why 36 aircraft, instead of the 126 the IAF needed? Q2. Why 1,600 Cr instead of 560 Cr per aircraft. Q4. Why AA instead of HAL? Will he show up? Or send a proxy?”

Interestingly, the 3 questions were numbered Q1, Q2 and Q4. Talking about ‘the missing Q3!’, he later put up another post saying that he purposely held the question back because  Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan had said ‘no talking about the Goa tape.’

Soon after Gandhi’s tweet,  Finance Minister Arun Jaitley tweeted ” How much does he know? When will he know?”

Earlier in a press conference, Gandhi had slammed Arun Jaitley’s reply in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, he said “Arun Jaitley himself told Parliament that size of Rafale deal is Rs 58,000 crore, or Rs 1,600 crore per aircraft, Rahul Gandhi said while addressing the media on Rafale case. “Price of Rafale aircraft has been inflated from Rs 526 crore to Rs 1,600 crore.”

Rahul Gandhi had also challenged PM Modi for a one on one debate on Rafale deal. “I would very much like to debate one on one on the Rafale Deal with the Prime Minister,” he said.
