2019 will see the return of the storied ZR1 badge even as the mid-engine C8 generation expected for 2020.
The American supercar features gaping intakes, aggressive body work, and massive Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. It houses a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 engine and churns out 755 hp and 969 Nm of torque. Though related to the Corvette Z06, the engine has substantially better cooling, and boasts 52% more displacement. This is mated to a 7-speed manual or 8-speed automatic. This is the first time an automatic has been offered in a ZR1.

The ZR1 sprints from 0-60 mph in a quick 2.85 seconds and a quarter-mile run in a high 10-second range while attaining a top speed exceeding 200 mph.
Chevy offers a package with larger rear wing capable of generating up to 950 pounds of downforce at 150 mph. It also includes a front splitter with carbon fiber end caps, specific calibration for the chassis and magnetic ride suspension, and the aforementioned Michelin Cup 2 tyres.

The base Corvette Stingray is still available with a 455 hp (460 hp available) from a 6.2-liter V-8 under its hood. The Corvette Grand Sport comes with a 460hp V8 engine and a 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds and the Corvette Z06 comes with a 640hp V8 and a 0-60 mph time of 2.95 seconds.
The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is priced at $121,995, while the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray carries a tag of $56,995. The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport costs $66,995 and the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 costs $81,995.
