Bharat Bhushan Vyas appointed as Member, UPSC

Bharat Bhushan Vyas, an IAS officer from the J&K cadre, took the oath of office and secrecy as Member, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The oath was administered by Arvind Saxena, Chairman, UPSC.

Born on Nov 15, 1957 he completed his B.Sc. (Botany) and joined Indian Administrative Service in 1986. He has served at the state and centre in various capacities and retired as Chief Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir.

Before assuming charge as Member, UPSC, he was serving as Adviser to the Governor, Jammu & Kashmir.
