According to the latest data released by Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), which measures television audience, the ruling party Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) is the top brand to advertise on television.
BJP ranked ahead of brands like Netflix, Trivago and Amazon between November 10 and November 16.

As per the BARC’s data for the 46th week (10 to 16 November), the BJP occupied the top spot in BARC’s list of top 10 brands, with 22,099 impressions (number of times an advertisement is aired on TV), replacing Vimal Elaichi Pan Masala from the previous week, reported The Quint and the Economic Times.

The BJP’s top spot in Week 46 is followed by Netflix, with much-lesser 12,951 insertions. On the third spot after Netflix is Trivago, with 12,795 impressions.
Five states are in either preparing for polls or are in the process of the holding elections. Polling just ended in Chhatisgarh and assembly elections will be held in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram this month and ealry next month. The elections are crucial as they are just ahead of 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
TV reaches the maximum number of people and naturally, whether it be brands of goods, services or political parties, they reach out to people through television, said Partho Dasgupta, CEO, BARC India reported Economic Times.
The top advertiser for the same period, according to BARC was Hindustan Lever followed by Reckitt Benckiser.
