A new beginning; Deepika-Ranveer get married

Bollywood power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married on Wednesday in a traditional Konkani wedding ceremony at Lake Como, Italy.

Newswire ANI confirmed that the couple, who have been dating for six years, are now officially married.

Reportedly Ram-Leela couple will have another wedding ceremony on Thursday as per Sindhi customs at Villa Del Balbianello at Lake Como, Italy.

As per reports, only close friends and families of the couple attended the wedding in Italy. However, they will be hosting two receptions, one in Bengaluru- Deepika’s native place and the other one in Mumbai.

The couple asked their guests not to get gifts but to make donations to Deepika’s non-profit organisation – The Live Love Laugh Foundation – that spreads awareness about mental health.

The duo left for the venue in Italy on November 10 in their white attire. The couple fell in love on the sets of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram-Leela’ and the love blossomed while they were shooting for ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmaavat’.

The wedding celebrations began with Nandi puja at the actress’s Bengaluru residence on Nov 2 where the bride-to-be looked gorgeous in a saffron salwar suit designed by the Indian fashion designer, Sabyasachi.
