DeepVeer appeal for charity donation instead of gifts

Date:

The Bollywood couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are all set to tie the knot on the 14th and 15th November, at Lake Como in Italy.

The wedding will be an exclusively private affair with only their families and close friends followed by a reception for the Bollywood stars in Mumbai on 28th November.

The invitation cards for their reception have been sent out, in which the couple has requested their guests to not get any gifts for the reception and instead be a part of a larger cause.

The couple has asked their guests to make donations to Deepika’s non-profit organisation – The Live Love Laugh Foundation – that spreads awareness about mental health.

“Among the many things, the bride and groom have requested the guests to not shower them with gifts. If they wish to give them anything, they’ve requested that donations be made to Deepika’s foundation that actively works towards creating awareness and removing the stigma around depression. Both Ranveer and Deepika are deeply committed to the cause and want to involve all their guests in the good deed,” a source close to the couple stated in media reports.

Apart from a reception in Mumbai, the couple will also host a reception in Deepika’s hometown, Bengaluru, on 21st November.
