Aston Martin launches the new Vantage in India at 2.86 crore

Aston Martin on Friday launched the new Vantage in Delhi at a price of Rs 2.86 crore (ex-showroom).

The new Aston Martin Vantage is a part of the 7- model line-up in seven years under the British automaker’s Second Century plan.

The Vantage shares its basics with the flagship model DB11, which was launched in India in 2016. It has been given many points of refurbishment ranging from the door handles to the heart of the car.

The design of the car is inspired by both the DB11 as well as the hypercar Vulcan. The Vantage also sports a new aero- kit which channels the airflow under the car while the front splitter directs airflow towards the rear diffuser. The sports which can also be used as a day- to- day driver has a ground clearance of 122 mm.

The new sports car from Aston Martin can be switched between the three driving modes- Sport, Sport+, and Track with adjustable suspension.

The sports car houses an AMG_ sourced 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 engine under its hood and can accelerate from 0- 100kmph in 3.5 seconds while hitting a top speed of 315 kmph. It produces 503 bhp of power and 685Nm of peak torque and is mated to eight-speed automatic transmission with paddleshifters.

In a statement, the company said that the Indian market is essential to them and all the seven models of the Second Century plan will be launched in India.

“We see India as a very important market with great potential and that is why we are emphasising a lot on this market. We are doing a lot of study in emerging markets so that we can increase our presence here,” Nancy Chen, Head of Sales Operations for Aston Martin, South and Southeast Asia, told PTI.

The company is looking to increase its production in the country to increase its prominance and is also looking forward to bring the Aston Martin experience and brand centre to India. Currently, the company has one in Tokyo, catering to the Asia Pacific region.

The company currently has two dealerships in India, one in Delhi and other in Mumbai
