FAKE Alert: This woman is not the one who shot the video of Delhi’s VVIP brat

Date:

The case of VVIP brat showing off his gun at a five-star hotel in Delhi has just not settled yet, a picture has surfaced the internet which shows two pictures of a woman and claims that she is the same woman who filmed Ashish Pandey who was brandishing a gun at a couple outside Hyatt.

A WhatsApp message has gone viral which comes with a picture and the text claims that “The girl who filmed Hyatt video has been beaten up and is now in the hospital.”

FACT CHECK

When NewsMobile came across the above mentioned viral WhatsApp forward, we fact-checked the claims.

When we have put the image through Google Reverse Image Search, we came across a few news articles dated December 2015 and January 2016 which had the same picture of the same woman.

The thing here to focus here is, if this is the same woman who filmed the gunman Ashish then how come her pictures were already on the web since 2015. Therefore, the above claims are FAKE and this not the woman who was with the son of the former lawmaker.

The girl in the picture is Brittany Merrick of Newcastle, England who was brutally attacked at a club following a disagreement with a fellow clubber which took place in December 2015.

Meanwhile, son of BSP MP Ashish Pandey has been sent on 14-days judicial custody.
