In Hyderabad, five patients have died of swine flu as per the recent reports. The cases of the disease have been on the increase from the past few days in the city, according to Ramesh Reddy, the Director-Medical Education of Telangana.

All hospitals have been alerted and swine flu kits are available with them now. Swine flu is caused by a swine influenza virus that has the H1N1 strain and is the most common infection now in India and Telangana, in particular.

The disease can spread from one person to another with a touch on an infected surface or droplets of cough and sneeze in the air.

The same symptoms occur in this like viral fever that include sore throat, cough, and body ache. The disease is more likely to develop in pregnant women, young children, and older adults.
