Patiala House Court on Monday, issued a non- bailable warrant against Ashish Pandey, for brandishing a gun outside Hyatt Regency hotel, Delhi on 14th October 2018.
Ashish Pandey, son of a former Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) lawmaker Rakesh Pandey was seen brandishing a gun while he argued with a couple, allegedly after the women objected to him walking into the women’s washroom.
A case was filed under the Arms Act and sections 506 and 341 of the Indian Penal Code. The last location of Ashish’s phone number was traced to Lucknow. A Look-Out circular, which alerts the police at borders, airports and railway stations about a wanted man, was issued on Tuesday.
Two more teams were dispatched on Wednesday to Lucknow to assist and conduct raids in Lucknow and Eastern UP. All known hideouts, offices, residence of the alleged and his family were searched and questioned. A show cause notice was also issued to the hotel seeking a reason for the delay in reporting the incident.
