Sensex gains for the second session ends at 38,389.82; Nifty 11,589.10

The BSE and Nifty gained for the second session on Friday with the Sensex ending 147.01 points up at 38,389.82, while the Nifty50 ended 52.20 points higher at 11,589.10 led by gains in auto stocks.

The rupee on Friday opened marginally higher but soon erased all the gains and was trading just below the 72 mark, little changed against US dollar.
