World’s fastest man, Usain Bolt is all set to make a debut in football but the Jamaican player looks slower than his teammates and gets tired quickly. He agrees that he is nervous for the game and says he is working hard to raise his fitness levels ahead of his first trial match this week.
According to a report, the player said “The most challenging thing for me is the stop and go because I’m not used to picking up speed, going back down, then back again”. “It’s all about practising and getting used to the system. I have time so will just learn the ways and keep pushing,” he added.
He posted some pictures of his training sessions on his twitter:

The eight time Olympic champion is getting an opportunity to play football games by Australia’s Central Coast Mariners to fulfil his dream of a soccer career. Bolt is having some warming up sessions and in the bar drills, the world’s fastest man is a little slow in that, but he’ll get the hang of the game slowly.
The pre-season and the first game for Bolt will be on Friday against an amateur side.
“I imagine he’ll get some minutes on Friday,” according to the reports, club coach Mike Mulvey, said conscious that thousands of fans are set to turn up to see the player. The Jamaican was “doing OK”, he said. “The things we are asking him to do are things that he hasn’t done for quite some years. He has played football as an athlete in between athletic meets so he has rudimentary skills. There’s no problem about that. It’s about being able to do it at the speed that we do it. It takes time to adjust.”
Bolt expressed his happiness and posted some pictures on his Twitter, of him playing football:
