According to police reports, he was found hanging from the ceiling fan on Tuesday morning. His roommates were away for Raksha Bandhan celebrations and returned to Gurugram on Monday evening to find the door to his room locked. ‘ They knocked on his room door but he did not respond, following which they went to their rooms and fell asleep. On Tuesday morning, they once again knocked on his door. When he did not respond, they became suspicious. They alerted the security guards, who broke open the gate and found him hanging from the ceiling fan with the help of a bedsheet,’ Vikas Kaushik, inspector, Sector 53 police station told Hindustan Times.

Though police suspect this to be a suicide case, no note was found in the apartment.

Priyadarshi’s family has been informed and his body has also been sent for post-mortem examination. Police are currently talking to his flatmates, and his locked phone and laptop have been sized in hopes of finding more clues.
