The new bikes will even have sensors fitted into the handle bar grips, instrument panel, and seat, to determine and evaluate whether riders are physically and mentally prepared for any sudden event. It detects whether bikers are holding the bike with both hands, sitting on the bike seat properly, and ensures that riders are keeping their eyes on the road.
An image of a patent filed by the Wisconsin based company shows designs and blueprints of their new bikes, fitted with several sensors to scan the motorcycle’s surroundings for obstacles that may cause accidents.
Harley’s new bikes will come equipped with high tech audio-visual as well as haptic warning systems to ensure bikers are alert, before automatically applying emergency brakes, so as to avoid disorienting the biker.
This innovative technology will prove useful for bikers who tend to use their powerful Harleys to ride at high speeds.
