Tremors and terror struck the popular holiday island of Bali, Indonesia as a 7.0 earthquake hit the Island causing widespread panic and shock amongst tourists and residents as well as fears of an incoming tsunami.
The earthquake occurred 45 km from West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia at approximately 5:16 PM, IST. and the issue of a tsunami warning may be justified due to the images captured by satellites
Bali is a popular tourist destination, frequented by celebrities as well. Australian actress Teresa Palmer who tweeted
“Woah! Anyone else feel that earthquake in Bali? Hope everyone is okay. Staying in a treehouse and we were SWAYING.”
Also present was US model Chrissy Teigen who tweeted as well.

The citizens aren’t completely out of danger because an earthquake’s aftershocks may go on for some time. However, a senior official in Bali told Newsmobile that not much damage has been reported due to the epicentre being some distance away from Bali.
