Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) chief RS Sharma, on Saturday, tweeted his Aadhar number as a challenge after “The Print” published an article titled “What harm can you do to me if you have my Aadhar details, asks TRAI chairman RS Sharma.”
In the article, Sharma was quoted as saying that the Aadhar data is completely safe and all the reports suggesting the data is vulnerable are false. He had asserted that Aadhar and India Stack, a digital interface that allows government and businesses to utilize digital infrastructure, are remarkable innovations with no parallels in any country at present.

Earlier today, a Twitter user tagged Sharma and asked him to walk the talk since “he has paid salaries to the TRAI chief all these years.” In a follow-up tweet, the user then challenged Sharma to publish his Aadhar number “if he has so much trust in his 13 feet wall security system.” In response, Sharma shared his Aadhar number and “challenged the user to come up with at least one concrete example of how they can do any harm to him.”
My Aadhaar number is 7621 7768 2740
Now I give this challenge to you: Show me one concrete example where you can do any harm to me!— RS Sharma (@rssharma3) July 28, 2018
Sharma’s tweet silenced haters who have been spreading misinformation about data leak so far. While the handle that had challenged the TRAI chairman to share his Aadhar number has not come up with any credible proof on how the Aadhar number can be misused. He only shared a tweet complaining to ‘lawyers and journalists’ on how could he proceed with the available information provided by Sharma.
Lawyers and journalists: Need your advice on how I proceed with this challenge from former former Director General @UIDAI chief and current @TRAI chairman @rssharma3. https://t.co/iM7vTlebOR
