Check out these places to get a piece of heaven in India

India is a land of mountains, rivers, colours, festivals, traditions and what not and there is a reason why we call it ‘Incredible India!’ There are a lot of mesmerizing places to visit in India, so have a look at them:

  1. Pangong Tso Lake, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir

The famous and sparkling blue Pangong lake is situated near Leh-Ladakh in the Himalayas, approximately at the height of 4350 meters. This endorheic lake is 12 kilometres long and extends from India to Tibet with two-thirds of it lying in the latter.

2. Nubra Valley, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir

This masterpiece of God’s own creation lies on the Silk route, in the paradisiacal of Jammu and Kashmir at a distance of around 140 Km from Leh. The valley is embellished with Shyok and Nubra river snaking through it and some beautiful monasteries coloured with rich shades of golden, red and others.

3. Zanskar Valley, Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir 

Zanskar Valley is known for its wide views and sceneries, cave monasteries and mostly
travelled to for its trekking trails and river rafting experiences and the Suru Valley, the two valleys almost always visited together. Nestled between two tiny alpine lakes, most isolated of all Himalayan valleys, the valley has an area of about 5,000 Kms. and is situated at an elevation of 13,154 above sea level.

4. Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh

A city as old as time itself. A city that has stayed in place and watched as the world has turned and the tides have changed. In the words of Mark Twain, ‘Older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend, And looks twice as old as all of them put together.’ Varanasi, the city that is more than just the spiritual capital of India. The pan, the dupattas, the temples, the holiness. The city that you only need to visit once for it to stay with you forever.

5. Alleppey Backwaters, Kerala

Alleppey is rightfully called the Venice of the East. With its labyrinth of backwater streams and interconnected lakes, Alleppey or Alappuzha is no less than the famous European city –
neither in beauty nor in history and culture. Perhaps the most sought-after destination in God’s Own Country for a peaceful two to three days trip, Alleppey is the heaven for the nature lovers with the soul-soothing greenery and the soft waves of the backwaters.

6. Valley of Flowers, Chamoli District, Uttarakhand

Valley of Flowers is located in Chamoli district (near Badrinath) of Uttarakhand, approximately 300 km to the north of Rishikesh. This is a picturesque national park, gracing the beauty of Western Himalayas. Valley of flowers was discovered in 1931 and is a World Heritage Site for its wild untamed blooms surrounded by white peaks.
