Actress Priyanka Chopra has apologized for the recent controversial episode of her American TV series ‘Quantico’, that showed Indians as terrorists.
The actress said that she had no intention of hurting Indian sentiments and that she is a proud Indian herself.
Priyanka tweeted,
I’m extremely saddened and sorry that some sentiments have been hurt by a recent episode of Quantico. That was not and would never be my intention. I sincerely apologise. I’m a proud Indian and that will never change.

The episode that aired on June 1 had the social media up in arms and despite the makers, ABC Studios apologizing, fans questioned vehemently as to how Priyanka, an Indian, could even agree to be a part of the controversial story.
The ‘Baywatch’ star made her US TV debut in Quantico in 2015. The crime drama was recently cancelled by the ABC Studios and will not be getting another season.
